New Delhi| The infectious COVID-19 has gripped 8,356 people in the country and killed 273 with 34 deaths in the past 24 hours, said the Union Health Ministry. This figure came after the Prime Minister’s four hour meet with Chief Ministers of various states on Saturday, which suggests that the nationwide lockdown may be extended by atleast two weeks.

Out of the 8356 cases, 7367 are active, 716 have been cured, while remaining are still struggling for their life.

The world’s largest lockdown began on March 25 in order to control the pandemic, which is more likely to impact the economy.
