In a high voltage speech in the Parliament, Congress’ Lok Sabha leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury made series of remarks on the Prime Minister that has not gone down well with the ruling party leaders.
Speaking on Motion of Thanks to the President’s address, the West Bengal MP said PM Modi is a ‘very big salesman’ while Congress failed to market its product in the Lok Sabha polls.
Chowdhury launched a scathing attack on the BJP and directly charged the Prime Minister asking “You called Sonia Ji, Rahul Ji thieves. If there was any wrongdoing then why they are sitting in Parliament? Why they are not in jail?”
He also said BJP MPs did not take any step to alleviate the miseries of the people because they think Modi will do everything. “They think praising Modi is sufficient, he will help them sail through”, he said.
Chowdhury also reminded NDA members that several infrastructure projects were initiated by successive Congress governments listing out projects like Bhakra Nangal Dam, Sardar Sarovar Dam, India’s nuclear projects and PSUs like NTPC, HAL.
