Lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were a paparazzi delight at the star-studded Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations hosted by Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani at Antilia. While Ranbir looked dapper in a kurta paired with a Nehru jacket and pants, Alia was stunning in a floral saree.
In a video that is going viral online, the couple is seen posing for the shutterbugs outside Antilia. Then, as they head inside, the actress almost trips and falls but her boyfriend steadies her.
The comments section was flooded with compliments from fans, who could not stop awww-ing over how adorable Ranbir and Alia looked together. “Best jodi,” one Instagram user commented.
The Ambani family celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great fanfare at their residence in Mumbai. The celebrations were attended by the who’s who of Bollywood, including Aamir Khan, Kajol, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Vidya Balan, Karan Johar, Rekha, Vicky Kaushal and many others.
Ranbir and Alia have been in a relationship for more than a year now. In an interview with India Today Television last year, the actress said, “Let’s just say everything is not because of a movie and everything is not for publicity.”
Ranbir and Alia are all set to come together for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. In an Instagram post earlier, the filmmaker had called Ranbir and Alia’s love the “guiding light” of Brahmastra.
Sharing a picture of the couple, he had written, “Ranbir and Alia needed to work as one unit and that relationship was more important than their individual characters because at its heart, our movie is a love story. There has been a lot of love since then…”
Brahmastra also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Dimple Kapadia. The first part of the three-film series will hit the theatres in Summer 2020.
