An accident took place at Hulasangra railway crossing in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, at around 05:00 on Thursday morning in which a train collided with two vehicles parked on the track. In the accident, 5 people, including a woman riding a bike and her baby lost their lives. At the same time, the condition of one remains critical.
It is being told that a signal was received for the arrival of Chandigarh Lucknow special train. The gateman started closing the crossing at around 5 in the morning. He asked the people standing on the track to move away but did not consider the driver. The fruity laden mini truck and one other vehicle remained on the track and in the meantime the train arrived. By the time the people ran, the train had hit them heavily. The train collided with the vehicles and derailed at some distance.
There was a stir after this accident. A man riding a bike, along with his child, a local man walking on the spot died on the spot. Two others were caught in the same vehicle. Somehow the police and local people evacuated him. The police sent both of them to a private hospital where one succumbed during treatment. At the same time, the information of the accident was given to the high officials of the railway. Relief and rescue operations have started on the site
