CBSE to Take Call on Remaining Board Exams Today

Date:

The CBSE has told Supreme Court that the decision to conduct the remaining exams of 10th and 12th will be taken by Wednesday i.e. this evening. The Central Board gave this information to the apex court on Tuesday. The court then adjourned the case till Thursday for hearing. A bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar told the ICSE board that it too could follow the CBSE decision.

Due to Corona, some parents have filed a petition in the apex court demanding cancellation of board examinations to be held from July 1 to 15 and the result of students based on internal assessment. He said that as the outbreak of the disease is increasing, sending children for examination may put them at risk.

Based on this petition, the court had asked the Central Board of Education on June 17 to decide whether to take the examinations or not. The court gave the board a week’s time for this.

It is being told that if the CBSE postpones or cancels the examination, then it will also have an impact on the dates of medical entrance examination NEET and engineering entrance examinations JEE. JEE’s man exam is scheduled between 18 to 23 July, while NEET is scheduled to be on 26 July.
