In view of Covid 19 during the Bihar elections 2020, Bihar Chief Electoral Officer HR Srinivas will hold a meeting with representatives of 12 recognized political parties on 26 June to discuss election campaigning. Parties attending this meeting have been instructed to come up with suggestions. In the meeting, discussions are to be held on following the guidelines of central government regarding Covid-19 during election campaign.
On Tuesday, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Baijunath Prasad Singh told that representatives of 8 recognized national parties and 4 state level parties will be involved in this meeting. In the meeting, the parties will also discuss the auxiliary polling station and new EVMs.
According to the information received, among the 8 national parties in the meeting, All India Trin Mool Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, Communist Party of India, Marxist Communist Party of India, Indian National Congress, Nationalist Congress Party and National Mizo Front and 4 state level Parties that include Janata Dal U, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Lok Janshakti Party and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party have been invited.
