A petition has been filed in Supreme Court by parents regarding the conduction of remaining examinations of Class 10 and 12 of Central Board of Secondary Education. The petition has demanded that the remaining examinations of the tenth and twelfth CBSE proposed in July be canceled and the results of the students should be declared on the basis of internal assessment.
Due to Corona pandemic and the imposition of lockdown, few examns couldn’t take place which have been scheduled from July 1 as per the latest notification issued by CBSE. The petition has challenged this notification.
What Parents Said in the Petition Against CBSE ?
The petition has been filed by few parents whose children are candidates of these examinations. In their petition they have quoted AIIMS data, saying that in coming times, the condition is going to be more severe in the country. In such a situation, it is very risky to hold examination.
The petitioners have quoted several institutes including Delhi University, IITs which have cancelled their examinations including that of Final year.
