The rate of corona spread in India is increasing with each passing day. With 45,720 new cases and 1,129 deaths in last 24 hours, India’s Covid tally has crossed 12 lakh mark.
This is the highest single-day spike in the country, which has come as of today.
Earlier, it was estimated that the corona, is increasing in the country at the rate of 65% in the past 20 days, which is a matter of grave concern.
In the last 50 days, more than 300 percent jump has been registered in the number of cases that come every day. In early May, there were 2,907 cases a day. Since then, there has been an increase of 1171 per cent in the number of cases reported every day.
Meanwhile, according to data from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 1,47,24,546 samples have been tested in the country till 21 July. Of these, 3,43,243 samples were examined on Tuesday.
