The Karnataka government has announced a 14-day lockdown in the state. During this time only essential services will be allowed. On Sunday, 34,804 new corona cases were found in Karnataka, which is the largest figure so far. Apart from this, 134 people have also died in the state. This lockdown will come into force from 9 pm on Tuesday. Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa said that shops selling essential goods will be open from 6 am to 10 am during the lockdown.
Apart from this, there will be no restriction on opening shops selling goods related to construction work, manufacturing and agricultural work. The lockdown in Karnataka will be slightly stricter than in Delhi and Maharashtra. The state government has announced that public transport services will also be completely closed during the lockdown.
