A shameful case of rape of a 12-year-old innocent girl has been reported in Paschim Vihar area of the capital Delhi. After the rape, the child was tried to kill. The incident is reported Tuesday and the condition of the girl child is stated to be critical.
According to information received by the Delhi Police, a 12 year old girl in Paschim Vihar was attacked on Tuesday. She was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in critical condition, but was later referred to AIIMS, where she is fighting for life and death.
Based on the complaint given by the family, the police has registered a case under the Poxo Act and started investigation in this regard. Police is trying to locate the accused.
At the same time, after the matter came to cognizance, Delhi Women’s Commission Chairman Swati Maliwal wrote a letter to the SHO of Paschim Vihar police station asking for details of the sexual harassment of a 12-year-old girl.
