Delhi Congress Vice President Abhishek Dutt visits various Cremation Grounds of South and West Delhi

When COVID pandemic was at its peak the employees doing duty in different crematoriums of Delhi faced a lot of hardships and challenges. Many employees while performing their duties succumbed due to corona. Neither AAP ruled Delhi Govt took cognizance of this nor BJP ruled MCD. As soon as this issue reached Delhi Congress’ office, Vice President Abhishek Dutt himself made all the arrangements and visited 12 cremation ghats in South and West Delhi to thank and help the employees working at various cremation grounds and provided them with PPE Kits, Masks, Sanitizers and Ration. Alongwith him other leaders present were Daryaganj Councillor Yasmin Kidwai, Ayanagar Councillor Vedpal, Matiyala Councillor Santosh Shokeen, Ranholla Councillor Suresh Pehlwan, JP Panwar and Dharampal Chandela. Youth Congress leaders Shubham Sharma, Vishal Bainsla, Aditya Goswami and Siddharth Tanwar actively participated in this drive started by Delhi Congress.

Delhi Congress also placed a demand before Delhi Govt to recognize the employees of Cremation Grounds as Corona Warriors and announce a honorary amount of 1 crore Rupees for the families of deceased employees.
