With 40,425 New Cases, Indian Corona Tally Crosses 11 Lakh

India’s Corona tally has crossed 11 lakh mark. This has been attributed with the highest single day spike of 40,425 new cases along with 681 deaths due to the novel virus in the past 24 hours in the country.

In terms of daily spike in corona cases, India has even surpassed Brazil, which recorded 24,000 cases in past 24 hours.

Even after implementation of lockdown in many states of the country, the situation is alarming with the increasing number of corona cases in the country.

Out of the total cases, 3,90,459 are currently active in the country while 700086 have recovered.

4,120 New Cases in Karnataka

Karnataka’s Kalaburgi district has decided to extend the lockdown till July 27 in view of the rising cases of Covid-19. Karnataka yesterday reported 4,120 new COVID-19 cases and 91 related fatalities, taking the total number of infections to 63,772 and the death toll to 1,331, the Health department said
