The United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights filed an intervention petition against the CAA in the Supreme Court of India. On this, the Foreign Ministry said that this is an internal matter. On the intervention of the UN Human Rights Chief on CAA, the Ministry of External Affairs said that no foreign party has the right to go to court on issues related to India’s sovereignty. Also, the Ministry of External Affairs said that we are convinced that the CAA is constitutionally valid, complies with constitutional values. Let me tell you, there are protests in many parts of the country regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act.
