Security forces launced an operation late on Tuesday when they received information about the presence of terrorists in the area. On specific inputs about the presence of militants, a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the area by joint team of forces including 55RR and Shopian Police.
In the operation, two terrorists have been killed, while the operation is still going on in in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Police said the operation is underway and two more terrorists are trapped.
In the last one month, six terrorists have been killed in separate encounters in south Kashmir in the last one month.
As a precautionary measure, internet facility has been suspended in the area.
