Two Hockey India Players Test Covid Positive

Indian Olympic Association President Narinder Batra has urged all National Sports Federations (NFS) and National Olympic Committees (NOCs) to get their employees tested for Covid-19 after Hockey India employees were found positive in the corona virus probe .

Hockey India had investigated its 29 employees, in which two officials were found positive. These include an accounting department employee and a junior field officer. They are under strict surveillance under medical supervision, while two employees have not been investigated.
They will be tested on Sunday. The officers whose test report were negative, will work from home for 14 days. According to Mushtaq, President of Hockey India, the office of Hockey India will be closed for 14 days.

Batra said, “I request all the NOC SG, NFS and SOA (State Olympic Unions) to kindly conduct a Covid-19 check of the employees without any further delay.” “This will increase the confidence of other athletes and all our stakeholders along with the top athletes,” he said.

Batra said that he has got all the employees of his office in Faridabad and New Delhi checked. One of the employees was found positive. Batra’s father was also found positive in the Covid-19 investigation after which he himself has been living in seclusion at his home.
