Delhi government has picked Sonu Sood to mentor children under their new program called Desh ke Mentor.
Sonu Sood has earned a lot of praise for his Philanthropic work around the globe. He has been assisting people affected due to pandemic, supplying medicine & oxygen to the needy, helping people to travel to the native who couldn’t survive due to lockdown. Many daily wagers have been hit hard. Additionally one can see Sonu Sood on social media assisting the young student with their education, transport to the examination center, etc. He is idolized by millions around the country for his philanthropic.
Considering his influence on students & children, Delhi Government has appointed him as the brand ambassador for the Delhi government’s new initiative called the Desh ke Mentor program.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has confirmed the news said that “We are thankful to Sonu Sood for taking out time from his busy schedule. He is an inspiration for the entire country. Thousands reach out to him for help. This is a sort of miracle that he has been doing what so many governments have not been able to do. We had a long chat about his work and shared the work of the Delhi government with him”.
Sonu Sood said that “Today, I have been given an opportunity to mentor lakhs of students. There is no greater service than guiding students. I am sure together we can & we will”. The reason to be part of such program was purely based on humanitarian. “This mentoring program is close to my heart because I do a lot of things in education. During the first lockdown we sponsored 2,700 students. This year the number is 8-10 times that number”.
Commenting on the rumors that he will be joining active politics, Sonu Sood said he has no such plans now or in the future. “I have been offered a Rajya Sabha seat more than once. But I see no advantage in affiliating myself to any political party.” He further added that he is ready to share such platforms with any political party.
