In his online address from Nagpur, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said that “Entire community cannot be held responsible for the mistake done by a few of them”. He also said that during such pandemic times it’s a call of national unity. He asked the countrymen to be aware of those who want to use this as an opportunity to break the nation and create communal tension. His statements are being seen as a contradiction to Sangh and BJP’s communal stand.
RSS chief also mentioned that this corona pandemic time has shown us that there is a need to create ‘Swadeshi’ development model. He said that RSS always wanted Swadeshi at the core of India’s development model, which will refer to enhancing domestic capabilities and production capacities, and further reduce our dependence on external economies.
Bhagwat said, “If anyone out of anger or fear does something wrong we cannot blame the whole community and distance from them”. With this statement, he referred the incidence of Delhi’s Nizamuddin Markaz. He said it is advised to all community leaders to ensure that people should not act anti-India and must follow the physical distancing instruction by government.
He quoted PM Modi’s interaction with Sarpanches or Village Heads, “This problem is teaching us self-reliance. We need to focus on employment. Will those who have gone (to their villages) come back? Will people have jobs? Will people be able to pay? We need to start preparing and think of self-reliance”.
