Refusal to Discuss on LAC is Disrespect of Democracy : Sonia Gandhi

Sonia Gandhi Chairs CPP Meeting

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has expressed concern over the confrontation between Indian and Chinese army in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. After the party’s parliamentary party meeting, leaders of the Congress and other opposition parties demonstrated in front of the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in the Parliament complex.

The leaders of the opposition demanded from the government that the confrontation with China should be discussed in the Parliament. Sonia Gandhi said that the government is adamant on not holding a discussion, while the public and the House want to know the actual status of the border. Sonia Gandhi asked why the government is not responding to China’s aggression by imposing economic sanctions?

In the CPP meeting, Sonia Gandhi also said that the economic condition of the country is dismal, while the government is claiming that everything is fine. The PM distributed a few appointment letters while crores of people are facing an uncertain future.
