Putin to be Russian President Till 2036

Date:

The referendum for constitution amendment in Russia has brought great news for President Vladimir Putin. The public has supported Putin’s claim in the referendum for the constitution amendment. In this way, Vladimir Putin will now be able to hold power until 2036.

Recently, public opinion was sought on the Constitution Amendment Act providing for Russian President Putin to hold office until 2036. The public approved the amendment in this vote. The referendum lasted for seven days amid Corona crisis and protests and ended on Wednesday.

After Putin’s current term ends through the Constitution Amendment Act, he will get the presidency for two additional terms of six years each. The voting process was slow due to the Corona virus epidemic. There was not much crowd of people at the election booth. Hence the voting took a week to complete.

Let me tell you, Putin campaigned extensively to win public confidence for the amendments made in the constitution. Putin said that we are voting for the country for which we work and which we want to hand over to our children and grandchildren.
