Petrol, Diesel Prices Hike For 7th Consecutive Day

Petrol and diesel have become costlier for the 7th consecutive day in the country. Today in major metros, petrol prices have been increased by 59-61 paise and diesel prices by 50-60 paise. Petrol and diesel prices vary in each state based on local sales tax.

According to the notification of public sector oil marketing companies, the price of petrol in Delhi has increased from Rs 74.57 to Rs 75.16 per liter, while the price of diesel has increased from Rs 72.81 to Rs 73.39. The price of one liter of petrol in Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai is 77.05, 82.10 and 78.99 per liter respectively. Talking about diesel, its prices in these metros are 69.23, 72.03 and 71.64 respectively.

This is the 6th straight day increase in the petrol and diesel prices which led to an increase of almost 4 rupees cumulatively in a span of six days

You can know the price of petrol and diesel through SMS. According to the website of IndianOil, you have to write RSP and your city code and send it to number 9224992249. The code for each city is different, which you will get from the IOCL website.
