Sanjay Bansode of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) was elected MLA from Udgir in the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections. In the Uddhav government, he has been appointed Minister of State for Environment, Water Supply and Sanitation, Public Works, Employment Guarantee, Earthquake Rehabilitation and Parliamentary Affairs.

At present, Maharashtra is the most corona affected state. In Maharashtra, 9431 new corona cases were found in the last 24 hours while 267 infected patients died during this period. The death rate of corona in the state is 3.63%.

So far 18,86,296 people have been corona examined in the state of which 3,75,799 were found positive. In Maharashtra, on Sunday, 6044 corona patients were discharged from the hospital after treatment. So far 2,13,238 corona patients have been cured in the state. The recovery rate of corona patients in the state is 56.74 percent.
