Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi’s son Chadanand Savadi ran his car over a farmer. The injured farmer allegedly succumbed to the injuries. The victim’s kin has confirmed that Chidanand Savadi was behind the wheels.
The 58-year-old farmer named Koodappa Boli is a native of Chikkahandagal village. He was traveling back home on his bike when a speeding car hit him from behind. The incident occurred on National Highway-50 near Hungund.
The police said, “The car was seized & case has been registered against a person named Hanumantha Singh who allegdly was driving at the time of the accident.” The car MG Gloster is registered in the name of Chidanand Savadi.
Minister’s son denied allegations and said that the car involved in the accident belonged to him but he was not driving the car, the driver was behind the wheels. He claimed that he was not present in the car that met with an accident, while he was in another car.
The locals claim that Chidanand was indeed driving the car & he tried to damage the number plate. The accused also threatened the locals to delete the video which was recorded at the site.
