Women and Child Development Minister, Shashikala Jolle was caught red-handed for demanding Rupees 1 Crore to pass tender related to the procurement of eggs for Anganwadi Kids.
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said that “If the claim made in the sting operation is true then an investigation will be launched.”
Uma Shree, former women & child development Minister said that “calling a tender for egg procurement itself is a violation of supreme court. To avoid any such irregularities, There is a Balvikas Samithi, Mothers & Anganwadi teacher are part of this committee to procure all the ingredients.”
Leader of opposition Siddramaiah demanded a Lokayukta inquiry.
Karnataka Pradesh Mahila Congress chief Dr. Pushpa Amarnath led the protest and demanded the minister to resign immediately.
