Jharkhand State Assembly Roof Collapsed

Jharkhand state assembly roof collapses

The roof of Jharkhand’s State Legislative Assembly collapsed on Friday. The incident happened in the library area where very few people were present as the building has been sealed due to some corona cases there. No injuries were recorded there.

The new building was built during the reign of Raghubar Das on the expenditure of Rs 1500 crore and was inaugurated by PM Modi in 2019.

Library Development Committee Irfan Ansari along with congress MLAs Purnima Niraj Singh, Akala Yadav and Rajesh Kachhap inspected the site. Ansari wanted a probe in this matter.

He blamed the former Raghubar Das government for allocating a mega tender to a contractor who did not stick to his job properly and delivered a poor quality building.
