A case of sexual abuse of minor girls has been reported in Chitrakoot mines of Bundelkhand, Uttar Pradesh. Here the poor minor girls are forced to pay wages and middlemen take advantage of it. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has targeted the government, citing a report from a private channel. They have asked whether this is the India of dreams?
Sharing the report, Rahul tweeted and said, “Families dying of hunger in unplanned lockdown … these girls have paid this horrific price to stay alive. Is this the India of our dreams? ‘
In Chitrakoot mines, 12-14 year old girls go to work in the mines to feed the family where they are being sexually molested.
