According to media reports, the Indian Premier League 2020 will be held in place of the T20 World Cup 2020. The ICC Board may announce the postponement of the T20 World Cup 2020 this week. Let us tell you that T20 World Cup was to be held from October 18 to November 15. It is currently not possible to go from one place to another in Australia, due to this, the postponement of T20 World Cup is being considered certain.

According to Australian media reports, Cricket Australia has decided that they will allow their players to play IPL but before that they will play limited overs series in England. After this, wherever IPL Asia or Dubai, they will be able to go there.

Many countries including UAE, Srilanka and New Zealand have offered to host the tournament. While BCCI is keeping India as the first priority, the things seem to be unlikely with increasing corona cases in the country.

The officials have reported that they will sit with all the stake-holders to finalise the venue. The tournament has been held overseas twice: in 2014 and partially in 2019 due to general elections in India.
