Former Goa Governor Mridula Sinha died at the age of 77 on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah have mourned her death. Mridula Sinha was the first female governor of Goa. Born in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Sinha was a noted Hindi writer as well as a senior BJP leader.
Mridula Sinha was the Governor of Goa from 26 August 2014 to 2 November 2019. Condoling the demise of the former Governor of Goa, PM Narendra Modi tweeted, “Mrs. Mridula Sinha will be remembered for her efforts for public service.” She was also a skilled writer who made extensive contributions to the world of literature as well as culture.
