FIR Registered against Rabri, Tejaswi For Lockdown Violations

An FIR has been lodged under section 188, 269 and 270 and the National Disaster Management Act on charges of breaking lockdown rules against 92 RJD leaders, including former Deputy Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Tejaswi Yadav and former CM Rabri Devi. Tej Pratap Yadav and Abdul Bari Siddiqui are also named in the FIR. Both are MLAs and have been ministers in the past.

Mitesh Kumar, in charge of Secretariat Police Station, said on Sunday that an FIR has been filed against 32 people named in the case and 60 unidentified people. These people gathered at Rabri Devi’s residence on Friday, where Tejashwi Yadav called all party MLAs to go to Gopalganj to participate in a protest.

At the same time, RJD says that he wanted to demonstrate by following social distancing in protest against the attack on the family of a party supporter. In this case the name of a JDU MLA is being taken
