Farmers’ Movement will Reach the Cities : Rahul Gandhi

Date:

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi in a press conference on Friday targeted the central government over the farmers’ movement. Demanding the repeal of the three agricultural laws brought by the Center, Rahul Gandhi said that if the government did not withdraw these laws, this agitation of farmers would go from villages to cities.

He said, we all know what is happening about the farmers’ movement. The first law abolishes the mandi system. The second law allows unlimited storage of food grains and the third law says that farmers cannot go to court if they have a problem. It is clear why farmers are agitating.

He said that instead of solving the problems of farmers, the Center is threatening, beating and using NIA (National Investigation Agency).

Rahul Gandhi questioned who let the farmers inside the Red Fort on January 26 and why? Is it not the job of the Ministry of Home Affairs that they should not have allowed them to go to the Red Fort, they should have been stopped. Who is responsible for it? He said that the central government is attacking farmers on the Singhu border, which is wrong.

The former Congress president said that what the farmers are saying is the voice of the country, the Prime Minister will have to listen to this voice. You will not be able to suppress this voice. I am saying from my experience that you will not be able to suppress it, this voice will spread and spread out loudly. He alleged that the BJP never takes responsibility for its acts.
