Bengaluru: Day in and out, Karnataka has to be in News for breaking social distancing and lockdown guidelines. While earlier it was BJP leaders, now is the turn of Former PM Deva Gowda and former CM of the state HD Kumaraswamy. The duo flouted all lockdown guidelines and social distancing guidelines during the marriage of Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the actor-politician and son of the former PM.
More than hundred guests have attended the wedding ceremony at a time, where a social gathering of not more than 20 people is allowed. That’s not the only fault. None of the guests, including Deve gowda and his wife were wearing masks.
Nikhil is married to the grandniece of Congress leader M. Krishnappa named Revathi. at a farmhouse in Bidadi.
The incident once again raises few questions on the administration as how they allowed more than 20 people to attend the wedding and also, how cars had flown from a red zone of COVID-19 to Bidadi, unnoticed.
