Delhi Receives First Monsoon Rain

Delhi welcomed the monsoon with first rain today. While strong winds and dark clouds created an evening-like atmosphere in the afternoon, the rain has given people relief from the sultry.

The Meteorological Department has formally announced the arrival of monsoon in Delhi-NCR. The department said that this time the monsoon has come before the scheduled date of June 27. It will rain in the coming days. This time Delhi-NCR is expected to receive more than normal rainfall.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange rain alert for Delhi and also predicted that there may be strong rains in the capital and surrounding areas by evening, which has come true.
