A few days back, a man with high fever and persistent cough was admitted to the Beleghata ID Hospital of Kolkata. Medical examination revealed that the person had contracted the novel coronavirus.
The man who was later found to be having a travel history to England was soon isolated. Contact-tracing has been initiated to found out all the people who are most likely to have come in contact with the virus.
The novel coronavirus for which humans have no immunity is rapidly spreading throughout the world. At last count, India detected 126 confirmed cases of the virus and reported three deaths from COVID-19.
