Corona : Reliance offers free petrol-diesel and food

Reliance Industries has announced to provide free fuel to vehicles carrying Corona virus infected patients and to provide free food in various cities. In view of the pandemic, their production capacity is increased to one lakh masks daily.

The company issued a statement on Monday, stating that the hospital run by its CSR (Company Social Responsibility) unit has provided 100 beds for Corona-infected patients. Also, if the work stops, then the permanent and contract workers will be given full salary. The company will provide fuel free of cost to emergency vehicles carrying patients suffering from Corona virus. At the same time, Reliance Foundation will provide free food to those whose livelihood has been affected due to this epidemic.

Reliance Industries employees will work from home:

Due to rising cases of corona virus in India, the country’s leading business group Reliance Industries has asked its employees to work from home and the group will operate from minimum staff in direct to consumer related businesses like hospitals, retail outlets and telecom. Officials said that Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani will hold a meeting almost every third day, to evaluate the impact of the new corona virus (COVID-19) outbreak on its employees and business.

He said that caution is being exercised in Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai, and its refining and petrochemical complex in Jamnagar. Apart from this, sanitation standards are being followed in production units and retail centers located in Patalganga. Leading groups in sectors such as oil and telecommunications have asked their employees to work from home and abroad due to the corona virus epidemic.
