New Delhi| There is good news among the news of corona virus infections in Delhi. The first corona-infected pregnant woman in the capital had a successful delivery. The team of 10 doctors made this safely possible, by turning the isolation room into an operation theater. The good thing is that both the baby and the mother are healthy. The team of doctors from the Department of Obstetrics of AIIMS said after the successful delivery that the mother and baby are safe and healthy.
Given the rush of corona virus cases, the woman’s delivery was planned for next Thursday, but it could only be completed this Friday, which is almost a week earlier. On Thursday, as soon as the AIIMS doctor and his pregnant wife came to know of corona infection, the AIIMS doctor started working by accepting the challenge of the woman’s delivery.The isolation ward of the women’s hospital was made into an operation theater. It took a team of 10 doctors to get this delivery done.
According to AIIMS sources, everything has happened as per the plan, and the woman and child are being investigated further. The child will be kept with the mother as the woman is infected with the corona virus.
