In view of the corona virus epidemic, many banks, including the State Bank of India (SBI), have reduced working hours at branches. SBI Managing Director PK Gupta said that we have fixed different working hours in the bank after consultation with state governments and district / local administration across the country.
He said, “In many states, we have opened the branch from 7 to 10 in the morning and in other states from 8 to 11 in the morning. Somewhere it is from 10 am to 2 pm. Private sector bank Standard Chartered said that its branches are functioning from 10 am to 2 pm from 23 March. This arrangement is up to the next order.
HDFC Bank and Yes Bank have also changed working hours from 10 am to 2 pm. This arrangement is currently for the time period 23 to 31 March. At the same time, banks have asked customers to use digital and online mediums as far as possible for bank related needs.
