Constable Raped Lady Police in Covid Centre in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur | A woman soldier was raped by another Police official at Sidgowda Professional College Covid Care Center in Jamshedpur. The incident is dated 20 August. On August 24, police arrested the accused soldier Anil Singh on Tuesday after a complaint at the police station.

Anil Singh is a constable of Sidgowda police station, who was posted in security at the Kovid center itself. At the same time, a woman from Sidgowda arrested in the case of victim dowry murder was deputed here with the captive. The woman soldier stated that she was on duty at the Covid Care Center with Corona positive detainee. Soldier Anil Singh came to her at 6.30 pm on the day of the incident and spoke.

Closed his mouth with a cloth and threatened to kill him. When the victim started crying after the incident, Anil Singh said that if he tells this to someone, he and his family will kill him. This scared the soldier.

On the second day of the incident, the victim went to the police line and complained about the incident, in which investigation team was formed under the leadership of DSP CCR. Based on the report of the investigation team, an FIR was registered on August 24 and the victim was admitted to MGM Hospital. After this, Anil Singh was arrested.

Here, the victim also alleged that the accused harassed her by calling her a low caste. Based on this, ST-SC Section has also been imposed. In addition, if a policeman rapes someone while on duty, then a separate section of 376 (2) is imposed on him. That clause has also been used in this case.
