Congress Leader Abhishek Dutt Slams Delhi Govt’s Approach Towards Poor during Coronavirus Lockdown

Date:

Delhi Congress Vice President, Abhishek Dutt accused the Kejriwal government of adopting a miserly and negligent approach towards the deprived during the lockdown. The Kejriwal government’s move to provide 2,000 food coupons each to Delhi MPs and MLAs for food distribution among the needy during the lockdown has failed to impress the Delhiites who have termed the process as “Buggy and delayed”.

Delhi Congress Leader, also highlighted that Kejriwal Government is not capable of calculating the correct figures as even if they handover 2000 food coupon to the MLA’S, keeping in mind all the 70 Constituency in Delhi, they can only feed 14,000 people. However, the actual figure of people in distress is much more than these numbers.

Congress leader also hit out at the Kejriwal government for its decision to open liquor shops in the lockdown as this has increased the number of cases in Delhi. He also mentioned that the amount of money, Kejriwal Government is spending on the print & commercial advertisement during the pandemic is not fair as this money can be used for helping or treating the people in distress.
