Indian National Congress has started the much awaited revamp exercise today. In a major change, poet Imran Pratapgarhi has been appointed as the head of Congress Minority Cell while various state secretaries have been appointed today.
The reshuffle in the Congress party was very much on the cards after the defeat of the Grand old party in the recently concluded assembly elections. AICC president Sonia Gandhi has signaled about the revamp in recently concluded CWC meeting, asking for putting the house in order.
In today’s move, poet Imran Pratapgarhi has been appointed as the Chairman of AICC Minority Department in place of Shri Nadeem Javed.
At the same time, Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka has been appointed as the incharge of Chattisgarh, whereas Deepika Pandey has been given the charge of Uttarakhand. Similarly, Imran Masood and Brijal Khabri have been given charges of Delhi and Bihar respectively. Sanjay Dutt, who was earlier incharge of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, has been given charge of Himachal Pradesh
