Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself gave a tweet to congratulate the Dalai Lama on his birthday. This was the first time that the Prime Minister had publicly shared information about the phone conversation with the Dalai Lama.

According to a report in Aaj Tak, Demchuk was also celebrating Dalai Lama’s birthday, which China has not liked at all. It is said that during this time many vehicles reached near the Indus river in Demchok, in which PLA personnel were there. These Chinese soldiers stayed in this area for one to one and a half hours, where they did the work of waving banners and Chinese flags near the Indus river.
