Microsoft co-founder and technology consultant Bill Gates has resigned from the company’s board of directors. The reason for his resignation is that Microsoft has given more time for social work. However he will continue to serve as the technology advisor to CEO Satya Nadella and other executives at the company.
On his resignation, the company’s CEO Satya Nadella said, “Working with Gates is an honor and a privilege. I have worked with them for years and learned. Gates founded this company to solve the challenges of society.”
Bill Gates founded the Microsoft company in 1975 with Paul Allen. Until 2000, he held the post of CEO of the company.
