Another Kidnap and Gangrape in Madhya Pradesh

In Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh, a 40-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter were allegedly abducted by six armed miscreants and gang-raped the two. The incident took place on Friday-Saturday night near village Bodarli under Shahpur police station, about 21 km from Burhanpur district headquarters.

Singh said that after the incident, all the accused escaped from the scene. He said that teams have been formed to nab the accused. These teams have been sent to several places in Buldhana and Jalgaon districts of Maharashtra adjoining the incident. He said that there is a possibility of these miscreants fleeing towards Maharashtra. Singh said that the victim’s family is from Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh and has been living here for a long time.

Shahpur police station in-charge Sanjay Pathak said that a case under sections 376-D (gang rape), 347, 363 and other related sections as well as the POCSO Act has been registered against six unidentified accused in this regard on Saturday. . He said that a detailed investigation into the case was going on.
