Earthquake tremors were felt late Wednesday night in Champhai, Mizoram. Its intensity on the Richter scale was 3.1. This has been confirmed by the National Center for Seismology. Earthquakes occur frequently in this area of Mizoram, at present there is no information of any loss of life or damage from this earthquake.
