Militant Ambush

Army soldiers have been ambushed in Manipur. Three army personnel were killed in this attack, while 6 soldiers were injured. The incident took place in Chandel district, about 95 km from the capital Imphal, at around 1.15 am on Wednesday night.

During the operation against militant groups on the Indo-Myanmar border, three personnel of 4 Assam Rifles were killed. The militants attacked the soldiers by attacking them. 6 soldiers have been injured in this attack, who have been admitted to the Military Hospital in Imphal West district.

Sources say that the local militant group People’s Liberation Army of Manipur has carried out the attack. Search operation is being carried out by the army in search of militants. With this, the vigil has been increased on the Indo-Myanmar border.

In November last year, militants attacked the Assam Rifles camp in Chandel district itself. The militants threw bombs in the military camp. After this there was firing from both sides. After this, the militants fled to the nearest hill. No army personnel were killed in this attack.
