The mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and Jamaat-ud-Dawa Chief Hafiz Saeed has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. A Punjab court has sentenced two cases of terror funding. 166 people lost their lives in the terrorist incident in Mumbai and this attack shook the whole world.
The anti-terrorism court sentenced Jamaat ud Dawa Hafiz Saeed to 10 years in prison. The court has directed the confiscation of Saeed’s property and imposed a fine of Rs 1.1 lakh. Two of Saeed’s associates Zafar Iqbal and Yahya Mujahid have been sentenced to 10.5 years in prison while Abdul Rahman Makki has also been sentenced to 6 months in jail.
The Counter Terrorism Department has filed 41 cases against Jamaat-u-Dawa, out of which a decision has been taken in 24, while the rest are pending in courts. Decision has been taken against Saeed in four cases.
