The incident of gang-rape of a 20-year-old female laborer has come to light in an under construction building in Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar area late on Tuesday. The police have registered an FIR on the victim’s complaint and arrested the four accused.
According to the police information, the victim is a resident of Jharkhand and had come to Delhi two years ago to work as a laborer. She was working in the building being built in the college at Netaji Subhash Nagar these days. Also, the building used to be built in the slum in the premises itself.
It is said that she was sleeping in her slum at night. Then Ajay Munim, who saw the construction work under construction, entered the victim’s hut along with his companions Sarfaraz, Sophie Sheikh and Maidur Khan. He then gang-raped the victim at the tip of the knife and fled, threatening to kill her.
The victim gave information about the incident that happened with her at Sarojini Nagar police station on Wednesday morning, on the basis of which the police registered an FIR under the section of gang rape and bullying. With this, the four accused, who were preparing to flee, were arrested and sent to jail.
