After the outbreak of COVID-19 in a Boston shelter home, rigorous testing was conducted, whose results shocked everyone. Out of the total testing of some 500 people, 146 has tested positive. The shocking part is that all of them were considered asymptomatic – that is they were not showing any signs of corona positives.
The incident has caught everyone’s attention as checking body temperature was being considered as a screening procedure in most of the nations of the world. If the temperature was coming on higher side, other symptoms were checked.
Every person in the shelter home was screened about three weeks ago, when they entered here for fever and was asked if they had any other symptom associated with COVID-19
There was also a small cluster that was found at another shelter, which houses 450 men, and testing was done there Thursday night. They were able to get more rapid tests from the state to do tests quickly, but officials are unsure if they will find the same situation at that shelter.
