New Delhi| In a hearing today in the case of Arnab Goswami, today, Supreme Court grants bail to the editor-in-chief of Republic TV against the FIRs lodged against him in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir.
The bench comprising of Justice D Y Chandrachud and M R Shah has said that no coercive action has to be taken against the journalist for next two weeks.
The journalist can move to take anticipatory bail in the next two weeks. Supreme Court has stayed all FIRs against him except the one which has now been transferred to Mumbai.
Mumbai Police has also been directed to provide special security to Arnab Goswami
