Stone Pelting on Screening Team in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh

On Wednesday, people stoned a health and police team for screening to prevent coronavirus infection in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh, injuring a policeman.

According to the police, a youth was reported to have come from Indore in Gaswani village of Vijaypur tehsil of Sheopur district. Due to this, the staff of the Health Department and the police reached the village and was stoned. Assistant Sub Inspector Shriram Awasthi suffered a head injury in this attack.

State Health and Home Minister Narottam Mishra spoke to the injured assistant sub-inspector Shriram Awasthi and team member doctor Dr. Pawan Upadhyay on the phone, and praised the duty of both of them. At the same time, during the global pandemic, people of distorted mentality have also been asked to take strict action on behalf of the government.
