Today, on the third trading day of the week i.e. Wednesday, the stock market opened again on the green mark. Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex opened at a record 44825.03 level, up 302.01 points (0.68 per cent). At the same time, the National Stock Exchange Nifty started with a gain of 87.80 points (0.67 per cent) at 13143. Earlier on Tuesday, the Sensex closed at a record high and the Nifty reached 13000 for the first time.
On Tuesday, the US market Dow Jones index gained 1.54 percent to close at 30,046.20, up 454.97 points. The index has closed at this level for the first time. The Nasdaq index also gained 1.31 percent to close at 12,036.80. The S&P 500 index was up 57.82 points at 3,635.41. The European market also recorded a spectacular growth. Britain’s FTSE index was up 1.55 per cent at 6,432.17.
Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 439.25 points or 1.01 per cent. It is known that the index has recovered the entire loss in the year 2020. It closed at 41,306.02 on January 1, 2020. However according to analysts, further market volatility will continue. Hence investors should be cautious.
Talking about the big stocks, today HDFC Bank, Doc Reddy, Reliance, Grasim and Power Grid started at a fast pace. The shares of Nestle India, M&M, Maruti, Gail and Hindalco opened at the red mark.
