Rajasthan Govt Restricts MLA LAD Spends in Healthcare only for 2 Years

Rajasthan government yesterday took a proactive decision after the lessons learned from the situation developed due to Corona. Now the Rajasthan government proactively started the work towards how to tackle such epidemics in future.

Taking a major decision on Monday, the state government has dedicated the amount to be allocated under the MLA Fund for 2 years to the health sector only. Under this, all the MLAs of the district can also use the fund together for any healthcare project of the district. All the 200 assembly constituencies of the state are allocated 450 crore fund every year. Total 900 crore fund will be allocated for 2 years only to strengthen the healthcare system of the state.

Expenses will be incurred in these health care facilities.

Health Infrastructure (Building, Equipment, etc.) District-Sub District Hospitals, purchase of essential and high-end equipment, as per the guidelines based on IPHS Community and Primary Health Centres, new buildings of Government Hospitals, repair work, their electrification, sanitation and water supply allied work will be done under MLA LAD.
